According to the Manhattan Beach Police Department, the accident happened in the 900 block of Sepulveda Boulevard near 9th Street.
A man was hit by a car in unclear circumstances.
The man received life-saving measures, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner/Coroner did not disclose the name of the pedestrian pending notification of the next of kin.
