Crescent City, CA. – Authorities are investigating a fatal bicycle accident that occurred on Wednesday evening in Crescent City.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened on Highway 101, south of Humboldt Road at around 6 p.m. on November 20.
A man was walking or riding his bicycle on the northbound shoulder when he was struck by a 2023 Ford Transit van in unclear circumstances.
The bicyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The identity of the victim was not disclosed pending notification of the next-of-kin.
