A Chevy Impala reportedly lost control and crashed into a tree in the area
Mariposa County, CA.- One person was killed in a solo crash that happened near Bootjack in Mariposa County early Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported at around 2:23:a.m. on Qual Hill Road and Highway 49.
A Chevy Impala reportedly lost control and crashed into a tree in the area.
The tree fell on top of the car following the impact of the crash.
One occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Roads near the scene were shut down for hours as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
