Sutter County, CA.- One person was killed in a major collision in Sutter County on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 11:41 a.m., authorities received a report of a collision in the area of South George Washington Boulevard and Obanion Road.
A passenger vehicle collided with a semi-truck near the intersection under unclear circumstances.
One person was killed in the accident.
At least one other party was airlifted from the scene with major injuries.
The crash caused the closure of South George Washington Boulevard at Obanion Road as authorities worked at the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
