1 Seriously Injured in DUI Collision on Highway 410 near SR 162 in Tacoma
Tacoma, Washington (July 1, 2023) – At least one person suffered major injuries in a traffic collision involving a suspected DUI driver near Sumner in Tacoma early Saturday morning.
The crash happened on the eastbound 410 Freeway near Valley Avenue (State Route 162) at around 12:23 a.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.
🚨Troopers are of scene of a two car serious injury collision on eastbound SR 410 just east of Traffic. The causing driver is under arrest for DUI.
All eastbound traffic is being diverted to Traffic Ave. @wsdot_tacoma is en-route for traffic control.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
At least one person suffered major injuries in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
One motorist was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
