1 Injured in Car Accident on 215 Freeway near Box Springs Road in Riverside

Riverside, California (September 17, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that happened early Saturday morning in Riverside.

The 2:23 a.m. collision was reported in the southbound lanes of the 215 Freeway near Box Springs Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At least five vehicles were involved in the accident, but the circumstances surrounding the crash were yet to be established.

CHP says at least one person was hurt in the accident and was transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
