The CHP said a sedan driver stopped on westbound 91 Freeway to retrieve a kitten that was crossing the freeway
Riverside, CA.- One person was hurt in a traffic collision in Riverside on Wednesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place on the Riverside (91) Freeway, just east of Madison Street at about 12:40 p.m.
The CHP said a sedan driver stopped on westbound 91 Freeway to retrieve a kitten that was crossing the freeway.
Shortly after, a second driver stopped behind the sedan but a third motorist slammed into the stopped vehicles.
One person was taken to Riverside Community Hospital with minor injuries.
The kitten was uninjured in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
