Oxnard, CA. – A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car at an intersection in Oxnard on Thursday evening.
The bicycle accident happened at Gonzales Road and Outlet Center Drive at around 7 p.m., according to the Oxnard Police Department.
A 34-year-old Oxnard man was riding a bicycle southbound through the 7-Eleven parking lot when he was struck by a 2021 Hyundai Sonata at the intersection.
The bicyclist was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the car, a 33-year-old Ventura woman, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
