1 Injured in DUI Car Accident at Washington Street and Fourth Avenue in Hillcrest
San Diego, California (June 26, 2023) – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving a suspected drunk driver early Sunday morning in Hillcrest.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Washington Street at Fourth Avenue at around 3 a.m.
A man was driving a Dodge Challenger west on Washington Street when he ran a red light at the intersection and struck a red hatchback traveling southbound on Fourth.
The impact of the collision caused the hatchback to crash into a Toyota Camry while the Dodge veered off the roadway and crashed into a power pole.
The driver of the red car was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the Dodge was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
