1 Hospitalized After Crash on 605 Freeway in Whittier

Whittier, Calif. – One person was hospitalized after a traffic collision involving a wrong-way vehicle that happened Friday night on a freeway in Whittier, the California Highway Patrol said.

At around 9:22 p.m., authorities received reports of a car collision on the northbound 605 Freeway just south of Rose Hills Road.

Emergency personnel responded and found a blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, a silver Toyota Camry, and one other car involved in the accident.

The Camry was reportedly driving the wrong way before the crash.

One person was taken to PIH Health Whittier Hospital with the complaint of pain.

There were no other details given, but an investigation is ongoing.
