Clackamas County, OR – One person was killed and two others were injured following a three-vehicle traffic crash at an intersection in Clackamas County Monday afternoon, according to the Oregon State Police (OSP).
The deadly crash happened on August 18, 2025, at 1:03 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 26 and Orient Drive in Sandy
Detectives said a GMC Savannah, driven by 46-year-old Ivan Bahena of Gresham, was heading eastbound on Hwy. 26 when it reportedly experienced a mechanical failure and crashed into the rear of a Honda Fit that was slowing to stop for the traffic light at the intersection with Orient Drive.
The impact caused the Honda to rear-end an eastbound Infinity QX5, driven by Cassandra Lea Bellingham, 52, of Portland, that was stopped at the traffic light.
The operator of the Honda, identified as Bryan Ray Robinson, 48, of Sandy, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bahena and Bellingham sustained minor injuries and were both transported to an area hospital.
The highway was shut down for about five hours as investigators worked at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
