Calaveras County, CA – A woman is dead after she was ejected during a rollover crash in the town of Burson Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said the deadly single-vehicle collision occurred around 10:22 a.m. along Highway 12, west of Carmel Drive.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a white Honda Accord, operated by Kassidy Ketcherside, 38, of Jackson, was traveling eastbound on Highway 12 at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the car, drove off the roadway, and through a fence.
The car overturned multiple times, and Ketcherside was ejected.
Ketcherside was transported to a hospital where she was declared dead.
No additional information is available at this time.
The crash is under investigation.
