Several Injured in Hemet Crash on Ramona Expressway

Hemet, California (February 16, 2023) – Several people were injured when multiple vehicles collided east of Hemet on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened just before 1:50 p.m. February 15, on the Ramona Expressway, near Lincoln Avenue.

Four vehicles were involved in the accident and some parties were trapped in the wrecked vehicles.

Firefighters extricated at least two people with major injuries.

One of the patients was airlifted to a hospital while the second was transported to a regional trauma center by ambulance.

Five other parties were transported with moderate injuries.

The crash caused a partial closure of the Ramona Expressway as authorities investigated the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
