5 Injured in LAX Accident Between Shuttle Bus and American Airlines Jet

Los Angeles, California (February 11, 2022) – At least five people were injured in a collision involving a bus and an American Airlines plane on Friday night at Los Angeles International Airport.

The accident was reported at around 10 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Airport officials say the small jet was in the middle of being towed from a gate to a parking area when it struck a shuttle bus.

The tug driver suffered moderate injuries in the incident. The shuttle bus driver and two passengers were hospitalized in moderate condition.

An LAX worker was hurt but did not need hospitalization.
