3 Die in St. Johns Car Crash on US-180 at Milepost 353

St. Johns, Arizona (March 9, 2023) – Three people died in a head-on collision that happened Tuesday afternoon near St. Johns in eastern Arizona, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The wreck was reported just after 5 p.m. on US-180 at milepost 353.

DPS said a sedan was heading eastbound when it crossed the centerline and hit another vehicle head-on.

First responders pronounced both drivers dead at the scene. A passenger from the eastbound car was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
