3 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision at 18th Street and Elkhorn Boulevard in Rio Linda
Rio Linda, California (May 8, 2023) – Three people were hospitalized after being injured in a car crash on Sunday evening in Rio Linda.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 18th Street and Elkhorn Boulevard around 6:10 p.m.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident, but the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
One person was critically injured and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Two other people were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
Metro Fire Crews arrived to a 3 vehicle accident with 1 victim requiring extrication. 3 total patients were transported, 1 critical and 2 with moderate injuries. CHP is handling the investigation.
