3 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on State Route 99 near State Route 223

Bakersfield, California (April 14, 2023) – Three people were hospitalized after a three-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Bakersfield, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident was reported at about 1:56 p.m. on northbound State Route 99 near the State Route 223 off-ramp.

A Ford Focus, a Nissan Frontier, and a third car were involved in the accident.

Emergency personnel took three people to the hospital with minor injuries.

CHP officers are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
