High school seniors from anywhere in California have until April 16, 2017, to apply for a scholarship from Pacific Attorney Group, a personal injury attorney group.
To apply for the scholarship, students are advised to write a 300 to 500-word essay exploring how a personal injury attorney plays a role in leading safety initiatives and how the student, as an individual, can promote personal and community safety in their everyday life.
The top winner of the essay contest will receive $300 and an opportunity to spend a day shadowing one of Pacific Attorney Group’s associate attorneys. In addition to the financial assistance, the prize will allow the student to gain a better understanding of the daily routine of a personal injury attorney. The job-shadowing experience will help the student in know if they want to pursue a career in the law.
The contest also will award prizes for second place ($150) and third place ($75).
The purpose of the scholarship program is to aid students in the rising cost of higher education and to encourage students to explore the law as a career.
