Police said a 39-year-old woman driving a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 failed to stop or turn at the intersection and slammed head-on into a concrete wall

San Diego, CA.- Two women were hospitalized with major injuries following a single-vehicle accident in the Midway District area of San Diego on Thursday night, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The crash occurred at Rosecrans Street and Womble Road on Thursday, November 20.
Police said a 39-year-old woman driving a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 failed to stop or turn at the intersection and slammed head-on into a concrete wall.
The driver was transported with internal injuries.
Her passenger, a 36-year-old woman, suffered a fractured pelvis and a fractured right ankle.
They were both transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Police reported that alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in the crash.
The SDPD is investigating the incident.
