Bakersfield, CA — Two women were hospitalized Monday after a rear-end collision caused a vehicle to overturn during heavy rain near Lamont, according to authorities.
The crash happened on November 17 on Di Giorgio Road, just west of San Diego Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Investigators said the women were traveling eastbound in a Toyota Corolla at a reduced speed due to the weather when their vehicle was struck from behind by a Dodge Charger.
The impact caused the Corolla to overturn.
The Charger continued north and came to rest on nearby railroad tracks, officials said.
Both drivers were transported to Kern Medical Center for treatment.
