2 People Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on 118 Freeway near Tampa Avenue

Porter Ranch, California (March 5, 2023) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning Porter Ranch crash that killed two people.

The deadly accident happened at about 4:30 a.m. on 118 Freeway near Tampa Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a large box truck slammed into the sedan that was traveling eastbound on westbound lanes.

Sadly, two passengers in the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the sedan was seriously injured in the mishap. The truck driver was also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Traffic was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
