San Bernardino County, California (March 6, 2023) – Two people died, and another was airlifted to the hospital after a head-on collision that happened Sunday afternoon near Kramer Junction.

The wreck was reported at around 1:46 p.m. on southbound Highway 395 about 14 miles north of Kramer Junction.

The accident involved a Nissan Juke and another car.

Units from the California Highway Patrol, the San Bernardino County Fire Department, and the Kern County Fire Department responded to the scene.

The responders found both vehicles blocking the southbound lane with extensive traffic damage and the Nissan Juke engulfed in fire.

The firefighters doused the flames and found two parties inside the car.

Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

One other person involved in the crash was airlifted by Mercy Air 14 to Antelope Valley Medical Center in critical condition.

No other details were available, but authorities are investigating.
