2 Killed in Phoenix Car Crash on 10 Freeway near 7th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, Arizona (May 7, 2023) – Two people were killed in a fiery car crash early Sunday morning in downtown Phoenix.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on Interstate 10 Freeway near 7th Avenue.

A vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when it collided head-on with another car. Two vehicles caught fire after the collision.

Authorities say two people were killed in the accident.

Three other people were injured in the accident and were rushed to Banner University Medical Center for treatment.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
