2 Killed in Sun Valley Crash on 5 Freeway at 170 Freeway Interchange
Los Angeles, California (February 17, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a fiery car crash on Friday morning in Sun Valley.
At around 5 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic collision on the southbound 5 Freeway near the 170 Freeway interchange.
A big rig was traveling on the freeway when it slammed into a white van that was stalled in the lanes. One of the vehicles burst into flames after the collision.
CHP says two people were killed in the accident.
The names of the deceased person people were not immediately disclosed.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
