2 Killed in Fresno County Crash on Highway 33 and Shaw Avenue
Fresno County, California (October 24, 2022) – Two people were killed in a head-on collision on Friday night in Fresno County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Highway 33 and Shaw Avenue at around 11:04 p.m. October 21.
A woman was driving a Ford northbound on Highway 33 when she drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle towing a flatbed trailer hauling fertilizer.
The two occupants of the Ford were killed in the accident.
The second driver, Jimmy Saravia, 19, of Mendota, sustained minor injuries.
The highway was shut down as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
