Two Killed in Los Angeles Crash on E 24th Street
Los Angeles, California (February 20, 2023) – Two people were killed in a collision involving a train in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of Los Angeles on Monday evening, according to the authorities.
The wreck was reported at about 6:16 p.m. near E 24th Street, south of the 10 Freeway.
Authorities said a vehicle was hit by a Metro A (Blue) line train for unspecified reasons.
Two parties were extricated from the vehicle and were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three other parties in the vehicle were transported with minor-to-moderate injuries.
Nearly 125 passengers were aboard the train and none of them was hurt
Medics evaluated the operator of the train as a precaution.
The cause of the deadly incident is under investigation.
