2 Injured in Car Accident at SR 161 and 187th Street in Tacoma
Tacoma, Washington (April 30, 2023) – A 33-year-old Puyallup man was injured in a collision that happened at an intersection in Tacoma on Saturday night.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened at around 11:15 p.m. at State Route 161 and 187th Street.
The man was traveling northbound on Highway 161 when he failed to slow down and crashed into a car that was stopped in the center turn lane, waiting to turn onto 187th Street.
The man was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The 44-year-old Puyallup woman driving the second car was injured but was not transported.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
