2 Hospitalized after Fortuna Car Crash on Highway 101 near Tompkins Hill Road

Humboldt County, California (February 28, 2023) – Two people were taken to the hospital after being injured in a Tuesday afternoon multi-vehicle collision in Fortuna.

The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened at around 12:25 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Tompkins Hill Road.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision, but the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.

As per the CHP report, two people sustained moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
