Two Hurt in Kearny Mesa Accident on Balboa Avenue

Kearny Mesa, California (May 24, 2023) – Two people were injured in a motorcycle collision in Kearny Mesa on Tuesday evening, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The incident happened shortly before 5:20 p.m. May 23, near Balboa Avenue and Viewridge Avenue.
Police said a 57-year-old man was riding an 18-speed road bike in the area when he was hit by a 2003 Harley Davidson.
The rider of the 18-speed road bike was hospitalized with a laceration to their right eyebrow, an open fracture to his left lower leg, and several abrasions throughout his body.
The other rider, a 61-year-old man, sustained abrasions to his chin and left side of his body.
Drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be factors in the incident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
