2 Injured, 1 Arrested after Hit-And-Run Accident on State Route 17 in Adams County

A 19-year-old driver reportedly drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a car carrying two people

Adams County, AZ.- Two people were injured in a crash that took place in Adams County on Sunday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The wreck took place on State Route 17 at about 5 a.m. April 19.

A 19-year-old driver reportedly drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a car carrying two people.

The occupants of the second car were injured in the accident.

The teenage driver fled the scene on foot but was located shortly after and arrested on charges of hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license.

The crash caused the closure of SR 17 as authorities investigated the incident.

The incident remains under investigation.
