Two Injured in Newhall Crash on Highway 14 near Placerita Canyon 

Newhall, California (January 30, 2023) – Two people were injured in a traffic collision that took place on Highway 14 near Newhall on Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened near Placerita Canyon at about 9:20 p.m. January 29.

CHP said a Volkswagen Jetta was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with a Toyota Corolla on southbound Highway 14.

Two people were taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital with unspecified injuries.

One of the drivers was arrested following the incident. It was unclear why the driver was arrested.

The guardrail was heavily impacted in the incident.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
