Two Women Hurt in San Diego Accident at 54th Street and College Grove Drive
San Diego, California (January 1, 2023) – Two female drivers were injured in a collision involving an MTS bus in San Diego Sunday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The wreck happened in the area of 54th Street and College Grove Drive just after 8:30 a.m.
Police said a 29-year-old woman was driving a 2009 Nissan Versa south on 54th Street when she failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a 2012 Toyota Highlander driven east on College Grove Drive by a 55-year-old woman.
The impact pushed the Toyota into an MTS bus that was stopped at the light.
Police said the female drivers were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The bus driver, the sole occupant, did not suffer any injury.
The San Diego Police Department is investigating the accident.
