2 DPS Troopers Injured in Wrong-Way Crash at State Route 51 and Shea Boulevard in Phoenix
Phoenix, Arizona (May 11, 2023) – Two Arizona Department of Public Safety officers were injured in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on Thursday morning in Phoenix.
Authorities say the crash happened in the area of State Route 51 and Shea Boulevard.
A woman was reportedly driving a car southbound in the northbound lanes when the officers intentionally slammed into her.
Two DPS troopers suffered minor injuries and went to a local hospital for treatment.
The 82-year-old woman was injured in the accident and was hospitalized in unknown condition.
