2 Seriously Injured in Rear-End Collision on 15 Freeway near Stoddard Wells Road in Apple Valley

Apple Valley, California (April 16, 2023) – Two people were airlifted after being seriously injured in a car crash on Sunday morning in Apple Valley.

The collision happened at around 8:14 a.m. on the 15 Freeway near the Stoddard Wells/Bell Mountain Road off-ramp.

The California Highway Patrol say a gray Chevrolet Aveo reportedly smashed into the rear of a semi-truck in unclear circumstances.

The Apple Valley Fire Department responded to the accident scene and airlifted two occupants of the Chevrolet to Arrowhead Medical Center in Colton.

The semi-truck driver was unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
