Tucson, AZ.- A teenager died after being involved in a motorcycle collision that occurred in Tucson on Sunday, according to Tucson police.
The 15-year-old boy died after he failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Stone Avenue and East Grant Road.
Tucson police reported that the boy was riding a Honda PCX motorcycle at a high rate of speed northbound on Stone Avenue when he ran a red light and his motorcycle collided with a Volkswagen Jetta heading west on East Grant Road.
The teen, who was not wearing a helmet, died of his injuries at a hospital.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and was not suspected to have been impaired.
According to police, the motorcyclist did not have a valid driver's license.
An investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
