1 Injured in Lafayette Car Accident on Highway 24 near Mount Diablo Boulevard

Lafayette, California (March 13, 2023) – According to the California Highway Patrol, one person was injured following a two-vehicle accident on Sunday night in Lafayette.

The accident occurred on eastbound Highway 24, just east of Mount Diablo Boulevard, at about 7:12 p.m. on March 12.

Police confirmed a gray Toyota Tacoma and a brown Buick collided for unknown reasons.

Responding firefighters and medics extricated one party pinned inside one of the vehicles. The patient was treated for minor injuries.

The vehicles were blocking lanes 3 and 4 following the collision. The cars were towed away from the accident location.
