1 Hospitalized After Truckee Car Collision on Interstate 80 near Highway 89

Truckee, California (February 23, 2023) – One person was seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened Wednesday afternoon in Truckee, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck was reported at about 2:42 p.m. on westbound Interstate 80 near Highway 89.

A box truck and an SUV were involved in the collision.

One person sustained severe injuries in the accident. The patient was hospitalized in an unknown condition.

The report did not mention the cause of the accident, but officers are investigating.
