1 Hospitalized After Bakersfield Crash on State Route 65 near Merle Haggard Drive
Bakersfield, California (May 8, 2023) – One person was seriously injured in a traffic collision involving a tow truck that took place Sunday night in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred at around 11:31 p.m. on southbound State Route 65, just north of Merle Haggard Drive.
The driver of a Lewis Towing flatbed truck called authorities reporting that another car had crashed into the truck.
Emergency personnel rushed to the scene and found a male party with a compound leg fracture. The victim was hospitalized in an unknown condition.
Police did not immediately determine the cause of the accident.
