One Person Hospitalized After Car Collision at Camino Del Rey and Via De La Reina

San Diego County, California (April 17, 2023) – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday afternoon at an intersection in Bonsall.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. at Camino Del Rey and Via De La Reina.

A Chrysler 300 and an unknown sedan collided, possibly head-on, for unknown reasons.

Glass and other debris was scattered in all traffic lanes.

One of the cars started to smoke, but all occupants were able to get out of the vehicle.

One person was transported to Palomar Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

Police officers are investigating to establish the cause of the crash.
