According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported just after 11 a.m. near 9850 Cabrillo Highway, also known as Highway 1.
A bicycle and a motorcycle were involved in the crash.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported one person to Stanford Hospital with serious injuries, including several open fractures to the right leg. The patient was experiencing temporary loss of consciousness but remained conscious during transportation.
Authorities are investigating to determine what transpired leading to the crash.
