Nevada County, CA. – One person died in a traffic collision that happened Tuesday morning at an intersection in Penn Valley.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 11:06 a.m. near Penn Valley Drive and Spenceville Road, just in front of True Value Hardware.
A Chevrolet Impala left the roadway for an unknown reason and hit a tree.
Firefighters responded to the scene and transported one person to the hospital while doing CPR. The patient later died from their injuries.
The Impala was towed away with a missing right front wheel and front-end damage.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
