1 Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Accident at McClintock Drive and Curry Road in Tempe

Tempe, Arizona (April 24, 2023) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Friday evening in Tempe.

According to Tempe police, the accident happened at around 6:10 p.m. on April 21, near McClintock Drive and Curry Road.

Authorities say a U-Haul truck was traveling northbound on McClintock Drive and was making a turn into a private driveway when it struck a pedestrian on a sidewalk.

The 60-year-old unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The driver of the involved car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Impairment was ruled out as a factor in the accident.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
