San Diego, California (October 16, 2022) – Two people died in a two-vehicle collision that happened in Boulevard, near Campo, in San Diego on Sunday morning.

At around 7:47 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision on Tierra Sol Road at Highway 94, near the US-Mexico border.

A 20-year-old man was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Spark northbound on Tierra Del Sol Road at a high rate of speed when he entered the intersection and collided with a westbound 2020 Hyundai Ionic driven by a 29-year-old man.

Two male passengers in the Chevrolet Spark, both in their late 30s, were killed in the accident.

The driver of the Chevrolet Spark was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
