1 Killed in Bicycle Accident on Canada Road near Edgewood Road in Redwood City

Redwood City, California (April 11, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a bicycle accident on Monday evening in Redwood City.

At around 4:56 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic collision on 86 Canada Road near Edgewood Road.

An Acura sedan was going northbound on Cañada Road when it crashed with the cyclist.

Police say the cyclist, identified only as a 37-year-old Filipino man from South San Francisco, was killed in the accident.

The driver of the sedan and a passenger were hospitalized as a precaution.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
