1 Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 299 in Blue Lake, Humboldt County
Humboldt County, California (October 19, 2022) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened in Blue Lake on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened on Highway 299 at around 12:30 p.m.
A motorcycle was traveling westbound on the highway when it collided head-on with a logging truck traveling in the opposite direction.
Authorities say the motorcyclist was killed in the collision.
The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
DUI was ruled out as a factor in the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
