1 Killed in Car Accident on Highway 156 near Highway 25 in Hollister

Hollister, California (May 5, 2023) – At least one person died in a car crash that happened near Hollister on Friday morning.

The fatal crash happened on Highway 156 near Highway 25 at around 5:26 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision. The impact of the collision sent one of the cars off the roadway and into a field.

Two people were trapped in a vehicle and had to be extricated.

CHP says one person was killed in the accident.

The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
