Person Hit, Killed by Passing Car on 880 Freeway near Mission Blvd in Fremont

Fremont, California (May 14, 2023) – A driver died after being struck by a vehicle at the scene of a traffic collision early Sunday morning in Fremont.

The fatal collision happened on Interstate 880 Freeway near the Mission Boulevard onramp at around 2:30 a.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver exited their vehicle to exchange information with the driver after an initial crash and was struck by a passing vehicle.

The unidentified motorist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Limited information about the other involved drivers was provided.
