1 Killed in Car Accident on 15 Freeway near Highway 76 in Fallbrook

Fallbrook, California (April 23, 2023) – Two people, including an infant, were killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Sunday afternoon in Fallbrook.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on 15 Freeway near Highway 76 at around 3:12 p.m.

At least three vehicles were involved in the collision. Although the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established, a black truck reportedly flipped and landed on its roof after the collision.

Two people including an infant were killed in the crash, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Four other people were injured in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities shut down the southbound lanes of the freeway as the scene was cleared.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
