San Bernardino County, California (December 26, 2022) – One person was killed in a crash with a San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy on Sunday night in Oro Grande, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision took place just after 9 p.m. on National Trails Highway and Hibiscus Street.

According to the authorities, a silver Chevrolet Impala and a deputy’s patrol vehicle were involved in the wreck.

The driver of the Impala died in the incident. 

The deputy was taken to a hospital with major injuries.

An investigation to determine the cause of the collision is ongoing.
