James Bond Killed and 1 Hospitalized After Homeland Crash at Homeland and McWade Avenues
Homeland, California (October 15, 2022) – James Bond, 14, has been identified as the teenager who was killed in a Saturday afternoon traffic accident that injured one other party in Homeland, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened at about 2:36 p.m. at Homeland and McWade Avenues.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Bond was riding a dirt bike eastbound on McWade Avenue when he crashed into the right side of a Mazda CX-5 driven by a 58-year-old man.
Bond was ejected onto the pavement and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The Mazda CX-5 continued in a southeasterly direction before it crashed into a parked Jeep Liberty.
The driver of the Mazda CX-5 and his 72-year-old female passenger were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
